And here is my history:
Doggy story
|
I was lucky enough to be born in Estonia in a family of dog-fanciers. So, my first babysitter, together with my grandmothers, was a Rough Collie male who lived in our home. It was he who taught me to love animals, and my parents had to pay for it: since I was 4 years old, I was constantly bringing homeless animals, whom we fed, cured, and found new homes for. So, since my birth, four paws, or even more, have always accompanied me.
I got my first own dog (the one whom I taught and brought up, and not the one that taught and brought up me) when I was 12 years old. This was a Standard black Poodle. With this dog I became an active member of the local Kennel Club, being involved in dog training and (later) breeding.
In 1974 I completed my first course in canine expertise at my kennel club. In 1978 I moved to Moscow to study and Russia became my second home. |
In 1980 I bought my first Kerry Blue Terrier. Since that I have been true to the breed, breeding Kerries both in Russia and Estonia. In 1985 I started judging dogs by myself and was approved to judge all breeds of Terriers which we had in Russia at that time.
In 1988 I became interested in Russky Tchiorny Terrier and judged this breed rather often. So, I was lucky to observe the breed's development in Russia.

Unfortunately, my way of life prevented me from keeping large dogs, but I am still very interested in the breed and judge it at dog shows and specialties.I am glad that I had a chance to take part in this process.Starting from 1992, I rented some Tchiorny Terriers and bred several litters in my kennel. |
In 1993, when Estonia joined the FCI, I was approved as an FCI judge and registered my kennel, Eestiless, with the FCI. I have bred some very successful Kerries in my kennel. For example, become Eestiless Hoity-Toity was the first Russian Kerry to Young World Winner, and her sibling, Interchampion, Multi-champion, Champion of Terrier Union of Russia, Eestiless Hey-Day was one of the best Kerries in Russia.
It is difficult for me to discuss my judging abilities, especially because now I am an all-round judge, but in general I am better known as a Terrier judge. I am mostly invited to judge various Terrier specialties. I was judging in several countries: Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Greece, Israel, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. And I am judging a lot of shows in Russia and in area countries – Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine.
In 1995 I got a present from President of Danish Terrier Club - a Cairn Terrier from his kennel Tjep’s. It was rather unexpected, but this dog made herself at home at my apartment and in 1998 started breeding. So, as of today, I have 4 Cairns at home.
In 1996 I took part in the creation of Russian National Kerry Blue Terrier Club and became its Vice-President.
In 1997 I was approved as a CACIB judge. |

In 1999, Russian National West Highland White & Cairn Terrier Club was founded and I was elected President of it. Later in this year, I was one of the founders of Terrier Union of Russia and became its Vice-President.
In 2002 I took part in the creation of Russian National Staffordshire Bullterrier Club and became its President . |

This is my "big doggy story", and, as you may see from it, the whole of my life is devoted to dogs. It sometimes looks as if I live for them, and not the other way round, but, as you may have seen, I didn't have a choice from my birth. |
